COONEY JOINS HVEDC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
NEW WINDSOR, N.Y. (Jan. 20, 2011) — John T. Cooney Jr. of Ossining is the newest board member of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corp.
Cooney is president of Tilcon New York Inc., a leading construction materials company based in West Nyack. He brings a long record of civic involvement to the board, as well as a deep understanding of some of the key economic challenges New York faces.
“Economic development has always been important in the businesses I’ve been involved in,” Cooney said. “Now in New York there’s a consensus that the state needs to differentiate itself, and attract jobs and revenue with a new focus and drive.”
